Julian Weisser and a group of Berklee students, faculty, and staff have worked together to raise money for Save the Children. All donations will support relief efforts in Japan. There is a fabulous download of music from the Berklee community, currently available for a $10 donation. Fordham Wilkes contributed the track, "From the Earth Below."

Thank you...
to all who stopped by - and listened - at Boston's North Station today. Ginny and I truly enjoyed the opportunity to play those holiday carols, as well as our original music, one last time for 2009. We hope to see you all soon - in new performances for 2010.

We are planning on some new recordings in 2010. If you check back here periodically, we'll provide the updates.

Nor'easter and Noel!

Due to the impending Nor'easter, our performance in the Atrium at Copley Place tomorrow (12/20) has been cancelled. We're so glad we had the chance to play there last week, before winter really kicked in. Our thanks to the great staff at Copley Place. We will be back there next year during the holidays.

We have a series of upcoming holiday shows in the Boston area. Here's the initial list:

December 3 (Thursday), 7:30pm: Brookline First Light Festival. We're performing at the Fireplace restaurant.

December 13 (Sunday), 3pm: Copley Place - the Atrium

December 20 (Sunday), 3pm: Copley Place - the Atrium

December 30 (Wednesday): 4pm: Boston North Station

These shows feature our original material, as well as Fordham Wilkes arranged holiday songs.

We've been locking ourselves in a basement studio (not unusual for most drummers), auditioning new ideas for songs. It's been such a... what shall I call it?... therapeutic time? Quite possibly. I wish the same good fun for anyone reading this.

Boston has been so snowy and wintry since early December. (In fact, it's snowing again tonight.) Something about our rehearsals feels like going to a nice cave - with good vibes and nice toys - in midwinter. I hope that we'll all hear the fruits of these "cave"' sessions on a future FW album.

We'll post 2009 performance dates soon!

Thursday, December 4, 7-8PM: Brookline First Light Festival/Coolidge Corner. We'll be performing in the Prudential Realty building at 1290A Beacon St.

Sunday, December 14, 3-5PM: Copley Place Mall (at the fountain: central atrium of the mall). We might even include some holiday songs and carols!

Speaker Project, Nov. 13

Great afternoon at The Speaker Project yesterday! From noon to 1:30, I played a set of solo electronic percussion (Ambient Lunch?), then Ginny stepped in and we performed a few songs from "People in the Sun." Mass College of Art and Design deserves big kudos for hosting this exhibition. I will be truly sorry to see it wrap up on Nov. 22.

Sawako, Moskitoo, and Fourcolor

Fantastic day at Berklee last Monday as Sawako (Sawako Kato), Moskitoo (Sanae Yamasaki), and Fourcolor (Keiichi Sugimoto) all performed at a clinic for the Berklee community. Their three solo performances were wondrous. At the end of the clinic, Berklee bassist (and Music Synth major) Chris Brown and I joined Sanae and Keiichi for a performance of "WST," a track from Keiichi's lastest FilFla CD.
